A

OVERVIEW

1.

Tour models, get an understanding of construction of  the homes and process involved in purchasing, as well as some ballpark prices.

2.

If you do not have park or property chosen at this point, discuss that.

3.

Visit the model center at the factory to further consider what homes are available (get a registration card from your salesperson).

4.

The park lot or land for home placement should be known prior to finalizing the details of the home. The salesperson will arrange for an engineer to survey the lot to be sure the considered home will properly fit and how it will sit on the lot.

5.

When a home is finally chosen, discuss this in detail with your salesperson and he will arrange for you to meet with one of the Jacobsen Homes model center sales consultants to "spec out" the details for your home. For example: any floorplan changes, choosing colors, appliances, cabinets, carpet, or upgrades. Allow yourself two to three hours for this meeting so that nothing gets overlooked or left out.

B

CONTRACT & DOWN PAYMENT

1.

Sales contract drawn up and the deposit is made to order the home.

2.

If home is to be financed we will need the loan commitment from financial institution.

3.

Application for permits is then made.

C

DELIVERY & INSTALLATION (See Step 7)

1.

If trade-in is involved, it is removed and the lot is prepared just prior to the delivery of the new home.

2.

The home is delivered to the lot, blocked and anchored.

3.

Electrical and plumbing hooked up as well as air conditioning and heat unit installed.

4.

Initial inspections completed and approved.

D

OUTSIDE PACKAGE (See Step 6)

Concrete, brick and aluminium work done to code.

E

FINAL INSPECTIONS AND BALANCE OF SALES CONTRACT PAID

F

MOVE IN!

1.

Title transfer from contractor to buyer.

2.

Insurance coverage should begin for new owner.

NOTE: Legally, no one can move into a home until the final payment has been made. Upon receipt of the final payment, the transfer of ownership will be initiated from Citrus Homes / Meadowood Homes of Florida, Inc., to the customer. Insurable interest also transfers, and a certificate of title is then ordered through the Florida State Bureau of Motor Vehicles in the name or names of the new owner.
